This is me…
I am a specialist headshot photographer and I care about making people, like you, feel comfortable in front of a camera. It’s a relaxed experience to come and have your headshot taken with me, I like to get to know you. We will talk about the things you like and dislike about your face because although we would all like to be perfect, none of us are. Instead, we are unique and put together in different ways and it’s my job to explore your best angles in front of the camera and help you move your face in such a way to highlight your strengths. I will take great pride in noticing the details and coaching you to capture expressions that reflect your personality and help you appear the wonderful person that you know you are. Nothing pleases me more than making my clients feel good about themselves and I like to think you will leave me feeling that you have had a great experience!
I will guide you on how to prepare for your shoot and will look after you from the moment you book your session until I have delivered your finished images.
For the record, I don’t ask anyone to smile.
How did this become my mission in life?
I began to learn my craft at the London School of Photography, I found myself a mentor in Dave Wall who has been my longstanding coach. I also trained with Peter Hurley (from New York, probably the most well-known headshot photographer in the world), later becoming an Associate of his, one of five at that time in the UK, and the first female in Europe.
I soon realized that photography is a vast field and it made sense to specialize and become an expert in one area. When training with Peter, he said the work is 10% being a photographer and 90% therapist, and that I find is true. I love meeting new people, and I feel that giving them a professional headshot they are proud of is a gift (even though they are paying me!) I always strive to give each person a good experience and the best of my technical ability.
Taking the actual pictures is only half of my job, mind you – I pride myself on being an expert at retouching my images to create the best headshots possible and use a lot of small adjustments that add up to a polished – but true-to-life- finish.
